Process
From shredding and agglomeration to extrusion, degassing and pelletising—a clearly structured process for high-quality PET/PA recyclates.
Shredder and Agglomerator
- Our recycling facility consists of three main components, two of which are supplied by our partner company ACERETECH .
- The first machine in the facility is the shredder. It is used in plastics recycling to reduce plastic waste.
- The shredder’s main function is to reduce large pieces of plastic waste into small, uniform pieces to facilitate recycling.
- Shredding enables us to prepare plastic waste more effectively for further processing.
1Shredding and Size Reduction
Reduction to a defined particle size for a consistent material flow.
2Metal Detector
Protection of the facility through detection and removal of metal particles.
3Gentle Compaction
Gentle agglomeration to stabilise the material and improve dosing.
4Compoundieren & Kristallisation
Homogenisation, addition of additives and preparation for extrusion.
Extruder
- Extrusion is an important step in the plastics recycling process, further processing the feed material and initiating manufacture of the final product.
- The extrusion process converts the shredded plastics into molten material.
- A screw conveys the feed material.
- The molten material passes through filtration, cooling, cleaning and drying before being processed into pellets at the granulator.
1Schmelzen & Filtration
Melting and removal of contaminants through filtration systems.
2Extrusion & Entgasung
Removal of moisture and volatile components for consistent quality.
3Cooling & Cutting
Strand cooling and pelletising into uniform pellets.
4Kristallisation & Trocknung
Optimisation of material properties and storage and processing performance.
